Informationen for
lecturers
We are looking for Lecturers …
who address topics in their courses that clearly relate to sustainability. This includes courses that explore issues such as the use of Earth’s resources and how to operate within planetary boundaries. Building on this, sustainability also encompasses topics that examine the interplay between ecological, economic, and social dimensions.
Get involved!
If you already teach a course in which subject-specific topics are clearly linked to sustainability issues as defined above, there are three ways to integrate it into the certificate programme.
Your course can be integrated into the basic module as a complementary seminar to the lecture series “Climate Change, Sustainability and Future Visions”. The following conditions apply:
– up to 5 places (or more) are made available for students from other disciplines
– the course accounts for a workload of 90 hours (3 ECTS)
– it includes a graded exam for Bachelor’s and/or Master’s students.
If your course has a more advanced, in-depth focus, it can fit in the advanced module. A workload of 5 ECTS is ideal, but not mandatory. You can decide whether participation should be limited to students from your own discipline or whether it would be beneficial to offer a limited amount of places to students from other fields. In any case, the course must conclude with a graded assessment (for Bachelor’s and/or Master’s students).
The practical module includes courses that give students the opportunity to work independently on projects, with guidance rather than traditional instruction. This includes formats such as Challenge-Based Learning or Service Learning, as well as course-related (discipline-specific) internships, provided they are graded and carry ECTS credits.
